According to experts and regular drivers, 4.0 is one of the finest engines to ever be created by the Jeep team. It is powerful, reliable, and incredibly long-lasting. On top of that, it is also easy to customize, and you can use third-party gear to improve its performance. In this post, I’ll help you find the best Jeep 4.0 header. Now, headers are one of the easiest ways to boost an engine’s capabilities.
They do that by pushing out more Exhaust gases out of the engine compartment (the cylinders). In a factory setup, it’s the piston that’s doing all the pushing, and it wastes power trying to handle everything. With a high-quality exhaust header, each cylinder gest its own pipe, and you don’t lose any HP or torque. And now that we’ve got the basics out of the way let’s check out the best headers for Jeep 4.0!

Best Jeep 4.0 Header Review
This is a premium-quality exhaust header, meaning you won’t be able to get it for cheap. Instead of trying to make it as affordable as possible, Banks decided to join the elites with the 51327 header. But what will you get for the steep price – is it even worth it? The short answer – yes, it is. First of all, it’s made of durable and long-lasting materials. Secondly, the build quality is very impressive, and the header will serve you forever.
On top of that, the engine sound will change dramatically, and you’ll feel like you’re behind the wheel of a million-dollar Jeep. It’s not that easy to find something decent-sounding for a six-cylinder engine that doesn’t get annoying with high RPMs. With Banks, you can rest assured that the interior will be isolated enough for a comfortable ride. But, you’ll still hear the engine just enough for it to be satisfying. The bad news is – the bottom bolts are a challenge to reach.
If you’re ready for a long-time commitment, this Banks exhaust header may be an excellent investment. It looks and performs exactly how a top-quality third-party gear/accessory should. The bolts at the bottom will be tricky to get to with a wench, but that’s actually the only downside (except for the high price, of course). Add an overly satisfying engine sound, and you’ll get yourself a winner.
Next up, I’ve got the ECCPP header. It comes with a long list of useful features, including protection against corrosion and rust. The header is also leak- and warping-resistant, which makes it an even better choice for the average Jeep drivers. The engine will get significantly louder, but you won’t hear much of that while behind the wheel. Compared to the Banks header, this one is a lot cheaper.
My only minor complaint is about the quality of the stainless steel. It’s average at best but gets the job done. Overall, ECCPP did a good job with this exhaust header, and it will be a safe bet for most.
Looking for an affordable header to improve your engine’s performance? ECCPP might have a good offer for you. This header is protected against rust, corrosion, leaks, and warping. It might not be made of the highest-quality materials, but that isn’t a very big con.
Finally, let’s check out what Cciyu has in stores for us. This is the cheapest header on today’s list, and it comes with a generous one-year (quality) guarantee. It won’t be hard to get it in place: this is a bolt-on installation that will take 30-60 minutes tops. I wasn’t pleased to learn that the donut gasket has compatibility issues, though. That’s right: you’ll have to buy a third-party gasket to install this exhaust header.
Other than that, Cciyu did everything right, and this could be a safe bet for any Jeep driver in the market for cheap-yet-effective gear.
If not for the gasket compatibility problems, this header is pretty much a bargain. It’s cheap, reliable, includes a decent warranty, and won’t be a pain to install.
Dreaming of taking your Jeep 4.0 engine to the next level, but don’t know how to do that? A top-notch third-party exhaust header will do the trick for you. It’s relatively easy to install, doesn’t require any pro-grade tools, and you’ll be able to handle everything without a mechanic. If you’re ready to pay a top dollar for quality, you might like what Banks has in stores for you. True, the price-tag will be too steep for most drivers, but the cost is justified.
With it, you’ll get superb build and material quality, along with a stellar sound from the engine (which isn’t always the case with headers). Cciyu is the most affordable purchase; ECCPP is a low-budget pick as well. Ultimately, it all comes down to your preferences and your budget.
